I stopped at the Castro today for a slice of pizza.

As I was eating my slice I noticed a guy across the street holding onto a parking meeter. The guy looked a bit like he was doing some space ship acting (when the ship moves and everyone leans to a side). As I left the shop I observed a guy I always see at the Lone Star stop and talk to the drunk guy. Then he helps physically guide the drunk fellow up to the bus stop and onto a seat. I continuted talking on my phone as I observed the drunk fellow try and get up out of the seat. Except he didn't make it far. Actualy, when he slid off of the seat and onto the ground he got his right arm stuck behind the bar the seats are on. Then he vomited onto his crotch. I hung up with my call and crossed the street. By the time I got to the bus stop the guy had freed his arm and was laying on the sidewalk in his vomit. I went into Twin Peaks and asked for the bartender to assist me in calling for assistance. The bartender was a real sweetie and asked the guy if he wanted help. He then went back into the bar and attempted to call for assistance. I waited outside and a buddy of mine assisted me in waiting. We noticed a police car pulling over a nother vehicle so I walked over to speak with one of the police. As I returned to the bus stop the guy has started to stand up again. One of the officers joined us and took over the situation. I went back into Twin Peaks to let the bartender know that an officer was attending to the drunk fellow when he informed me that the police/EMT were on their way. I stepped back outside to let the officer know of this. The drunk guy thanked me and I told him that I hoped he was feeling better soon and that I just wanted him to be safe.

I was still able to make it back to the office in time for my 3pm appointment.

DJing at the (new?) Lone Star was fun. Getting good feedback from patrons is always a nice thing. It was also nice to see a lot of new faces checking things out. I was at times reminded of a Sunday beer bust. It was also a treat to be paid at the end of the shift instead of having to wait for a check. I have yet to meet one of the owners but the other two are very sweet guys.

I'm using my Sister's laptop as I watch my Neice peel a miniature orange. My Neice is amazing me with how clever she is. Just over a year old and she can tell you colors and count and bunches of other cool things.

On Saturday I was walking in downtown San Francisco. As I crossed a street at the intersection I observed a homeless person sitting on the sidewalk holding onto a cardboard sign. About four feet accross from him was a skinny little trendy guy sitting there talking on his cell phone and clutching his smokes and coffee drink. The hood of his striped top was up on his head to protect him from the harsh sunlight. I didn't have a chance to snap a picture but I did in my mind. Man what a good picture that would have been.
